- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Ensure GAAP compliance and implement internal controls for remote operations
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for departmental initiatives
- Collaborate with auditors during external reviews and ensure audit readiness
- Optimize accounting workflows using cloud-based systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite)
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvements documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with CPA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in remote or hybrid environments
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and accounting software
- Demonstrated experience with multi-state tax compliance and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Excellent written/verbal communication for virtual collaboration
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines in autonomous settings
- Certifications (CPA, CMA) or actively pursuing considered
