Role Overview:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial reporting, performing complex account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies. This is a high-visibility role where your work directly influences business decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including daily journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including Balance Sheets, P&L, and Cash Flow statements.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax filings and support external audit requirements.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and ensure compliance with depreciation policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable workflows to ensure timely processing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred).
- CPA certification or CMA designation is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting setting.
- Proven experience with accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Sage) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting with high self-discipline.
