Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee daily accounting operations, including the maintenance of the general ledger and ensuring accurate financial records.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Reconciliation: Perform timely and accurate bank reconciliations, credit card statements, and intercompany account reconciliations.
- Payroll & AP/AR: Assist in the month-end close process, including processing accounts payable and managing accounts receivable.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations and internal policies.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the finance department to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to stakeholders.
- Remote Work: Self-motivated individual capable of working independently in a remote environment.
