Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconciliation: Perform complex bank reconciliations and inter-company account reconciliations to maintain data integrity.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger, manage journal entries, and ensure all accounting records are up to date.
- Budgeting & Analysis: Assist in the budgeting process by analyzing variances and providing insights to management.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and company policies.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization within the accounting department.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy in data processing.
