Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
- Lead audits and tax preparation initiatives while liaising with external stakeholders
- Mentor junior accounting staff through our virtual professional development program
- Implement automation solutions to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in financial systems (NetSuite/QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite
- Proven track record of managing SOX compliance and audits
- Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling
- Strong communication abilities for presenting complex financial concepts
- Remote work experience with demonstrated self-management capabilities
