Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end closes
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead financial audits and collaborate with external auditors
- Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks
- Create detailed financial forecasts and variance analysis reports
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
- Coordinate cross-departmental financial planning and budgeting cycles
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA required)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and advanced Excel functions
- Demonstrated experience with SOX compliance and financial audits
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder reporting
- Proven ability to manage competing deadlines in remote environments
