Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Oversee general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and ensure GAAP compliance
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles, payroll processing, and expense report reviews
- Assist in budget preparation, variance analysis, and financial forecasting initiatives
- Collaborate with auditors during external audits and ensure timely compliance documentation
- Develop and implement internal controls to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making and process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/MBA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work exposure
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Proven track record of improving financial processes and reducing costs
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote environment
