Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounting cycles including month-end closes, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and optimize cash flow management
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring compliance with UK GAAP standards
- Lead tax compliance initiatives and liaise with HMRC and external auditors
- Implement process improvements using accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP)
- Mentor junior accountants and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with 3+ years' experience
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA certification or equivalent professional qualification
- Expertise in UK GAAP, VAT regulations, and IFRS standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks/SAP)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven experience in financial reporting and process optimization
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
