Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and corporate policies.
- Manage general ledger reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of account balances.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including vendor relations and cash flow management.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing requested documentation and working with external auditors.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree (MBA) or CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
