Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly and annual financial close processes, ensuring all deliverables are accurate and submitted on time.
- Prepare complex financial statements and variance analysis reports for senior leadership and board review.
- Manage general ledger reconciliations and investigate and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Support external audit requirements by providing detailed schedules, workpapers, and documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax filings, ensuring full compliance with regulatory changes.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
- Streamline accounting workflows and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or CPA candidacy is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
