Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger reconciliation and accounts payable/receivable processing.
- Prepare and file accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure the accuracy of financial data and adherence to internal policies.
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate employee compensation.
- Perform variance analysis and assist management in budget forecasting and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals during annual reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is highly preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders clearly.
