We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our night shift operations team in the vibrant city of Virginia Beach, VA. Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including verifying invoices and issuing payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Assist with the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and schedules.
- Perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies and suggest corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP) and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently during night shifts with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
