Our client, a leading regional financial institution, is looking for an experienced professional to handle daily reconciliation, financial reporting, and auditing tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries and financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Assist in the annual audit process by providing requested documentation and schedules.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely processing of invoices and collections.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data efficiently.
- Maintain and organize an accurate electronic and physical filing system for all financial records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Ability to work independently and effectively during night shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
