As the night shift lead, you will oversee the financial close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards while supporting our Sacramento office operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Night Shift Close Process: Oversee the daily financial close, including bank reconciliations, expense verification, and journal entries.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify vendor data, and manage customer billing cycles efficiently.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports for leadership review.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure all financial records adhere to federal and state regulations and prepare for internal/external audits.
- Inventory & Fixed Assets: Track and reconcile inventory levels and fixed asset registers during off-hours.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate daily with the day-shift team regarding outstanding issues and workflow handoffs.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Experience: 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate finance environment.
- Night Shift Availability: Must be willing and able to work night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (advanced functions), and ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, or Oracle preferred).
- Certifications: CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
