Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deliverables are met within the strict night shift deadline.
- Perform complex reconciliations of general ledger accounts, bank statements, and intercompany transactions.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and variance reports to support executive decision-making.
- Ensure strict compliance with GAAP, federal, and state financial regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and documentation for external auditors.
- Review and approve journal entries and maintain accurate fixed asset records.
- Collaborate with the accounts payable and receivable teams to resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a preference for night shift or 24/7 operations experience.
- Proficient in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time efficiently during night shifts.
