Responsibilities
- Oversee Night Operations: Manage and reconcile daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries during off-peak hours.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly and quarterly financial statements, variance analysis, and internal reports for executive leadership.
- Compliance & Audits: Ensure all financial processes adhere to GAAP standards and assist in year-end audits and tax preparation.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in the current accounting workflow and implement automated solutions to enhance productivity.
- Vendor Relations: Handle complex vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies regarding invoices and payments.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong preference for night-shift or shift-work experience.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; CPA or CMA certification is a significant plus.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, or QuickBooks).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with remote teams and cross-functional departments.
- Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain high productivity levels during night shifts.
