As a night shift accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of our financial records, processing transactions, and preparing reports that drive our business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-of-month and end-of-year financial closing processes.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements with a high degree of accuracy.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, variance analyses, and operational dashboards.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Assist in the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- CPA, CMA, or EA certification preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in general ledger accounting.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Must be available to work a night shift (typically 7:00 PM - 4:00 AM).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and federal tax regulations.
