Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, ensuring strict adherence to GAAP standards.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data and identify discrepancies promptly.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and audit the general ledger, posting entries, and ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly in the system.
- Compliance & Audit: Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and tax filings, ensuring full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current accounting processes and recommend strategies to enhance workflow and accuracy.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team during night operations to resolve complex accounting issues and support the closing process.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a focus on general ledger and financial reporting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision during night shifts.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data clearly.
- Reliability: Demonstrated history of reliability and punctuality, essential for night shift operations.
