Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-of-day and end-of-week financial reconciliation processes to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze complex monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and GAAP standards.
- Manage high-volume accounts payable and receivable functions during off-hours.
- Conduct internal audits and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with the day-shift management team to facilitate seamless handovers and reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and audits.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a night shift or 24/7 operations environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros), and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle).
- Strong working knowledge of US tax laws and financial reporting standards.
- Proven ability to work independently and accurately under time constraints during night shifts.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to resolve complex financial issues.
