Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- General Ledger: Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations and internal audit requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization and implement best practices to increase efficiency.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Remote Work: Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong time management skills.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
