Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deliverables are accurate and delivered on time.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including Balance Sheets and Income Statements, for executive review.
- Perform and lead account reconciliations for general ledger accounts and bank statements.
- Support external audits by providing required documentation and working closely with auditors.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and federal, state, and local regulations.
- Streamline financial reporting workflows and assist in the implementation of new accounting software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- CPA, CMA, or CFA certification is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
