Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict compliance with GAAP standards.
- Manage general ledger activities, including complex account reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close procedures.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely vendor payments and accurate revenue collection.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and ensure compliance with changing regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and implement robust internal controls to mitigate financial risk and fraud.
- Prepare budget forecasts and variance analyses to support executive leadership decision-making.
- Train junior staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree (MBA) or CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and auditing principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial data clearly.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
