Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of financial records and month-end close processes.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Compliance & Audit: Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and readily available.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform timely and accurate reconciliation of bank accounts and credit card statements.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in the accounting department.
- Tax Support: Assist with the preparation of annual tax returns and maintain compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: 3-5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to detect errors and ensure high-quality financial data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- Software: Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.
