Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all journal entries and reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform variance analysis on financial reports and communicate findings to senior management.
- Conduct internal audits and assist external auditors during the annual review process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite).
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder presentations.
