Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform accurate bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and compliance filings.
- Support budget preparation and variance analysis for department heads.
- Conduct internal audits and ensure adherence to internal financial controls and policies.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals during annual reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA preferred).
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
