Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform comprehensive bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance internal controls.
- Compliance: Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior staff members and provide guidance on complex accounting issues.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the month-end payroll close and ensure accurate payroll tax filings.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certification: CPA, CMA, or EA certification is highly desired.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and excellent communication abilities.
