Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Lead accounts payable/receivable processes with 98%+ accuracy standards
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Oversee tax preparation and compliance for multi-state operations
- Implement process improvements using QuickBooks Enterprise and Excel automation
- Collaborate with auditors during annual reviews and internal controls assessments
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-departmental financial initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and financial reporting software
- Proven expertise in month-end close processes and reconciliations
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with competing priorities
