Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform detailed bank reconciliations and credit card audits to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist external auditors during annual audits and prepare supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Support the budgeting process by preparing variance analyses and providing financial insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus).
- 3-5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
