Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely posting of financial transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and provide variance analysis to senior management.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation.
- Lead the audit process, coordinating with external auditors and providing requested documentation.
- Streamline accounting processes and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
