Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all reconciliations are completed on time.
- Perform variance analysis and assist in the preparation of the budget and forecasting models.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements, including tax filings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting processes and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of financial analysis and reporting standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
