Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict compliance with GAAP standards.
- Manage cash flow, including bank reconciliations and the preparation of monthly cash position reports.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure full compliance.
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements to enhance financial controls and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage the annual budget and forecasting models.
- Prepare financial reports for management and external stakeholders as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
