As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our financial integrity and supporting the strategic goals of the firm. You will lead month-end close processes, ensure compliance with GAAP standards, and provide insightful analysis to senior leadership. Responsibilities
- Lead the Month-End and Year-End Close: Oversee the financial closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze complex financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations and assist in external and internal audits.
- General Ledger Management: Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and intercompany transactions with a high degree of precision.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team and cross-functional departments to support budget preparation and forecasting initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
