Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle accounting operations including month-end closes and reconciliations
- Lead financial statement preparation (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) ensuring GAAP compliance
- Manage complex tax filings and audit coordination with external partners
- Develop and implement financial forecasting models to support strategic decisions
- Analyze variance reports and provide actionable insights to senior leadership
- Mentor junior accountants while maintaining 100% compliance with SOX requirements
- Optimize accounting workflows using advanced Excel and QuickBooks Online
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP, tax compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables), and accounting software
- Proven track record of improving financial processes and reducing costs
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication abilities to translate complex financial data
