Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger activities and perform month-end and year-end close procedures accurately and on time.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in external and internal audits by providing requested documentation and supporting schedules.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by analyzing variances and providing recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal company policies and procedures.
- Maintain and update fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a strong plus.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
