Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Prepare and review complex journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports for senior management.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely processing and resolution of discrepancies.
- Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting process, providing analytical insights to support decision-making.
- Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews to mitigate financial risk.
- Prepare and file state and federal tax returns, coordinating with external auditors as needed.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP) to streamline financial operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software.
- Excellent knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities to interact with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
