Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including the maintenance of the general ledger and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and local regulations.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets and forecasts for future business growth.
- Prepare payroll reports and assist in the month-end close process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
