Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and local regulations.
- Manage general ledger accounting, ensuring accuracy of all financial data and month-end closing processes.
- Conduct internal audits and reviews to ensure compliance with company policies and external accounting standards.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Assist in the budgeting process, providing variance analysis and forecasting support to management.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
