As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of our organization and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliation, variance analysis, and the preparation of necessary journal entries.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist in internal and external audits, providing requested documentation and ensuring all financial controls are operating effectively.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement new software solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Tax Preparation: Support the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree (MBA) or CPA certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, or auditing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of US GAAP, tax laws, and internal control frameworks.
