Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reports.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts for management review.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset records and manage depreciation schedules.
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders effectively.
- Experience with tax preparation and regulatory compliance is highly desirable.
