As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing key financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing strategic insights to drive business performance. Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments are accurate and completed timely.
- Manage complex accounts payable and receivable processes, including monitoring cash flow and credit limits.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring full compliance with all regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce errors.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, coordinating with department heads to gather necessary data.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree preferred.
- CPA certification is a strong plus; CMA or MBA is also highly valued.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate or public accounting setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
