Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries.
- Conduct comprehensive variance analysis to provide actionable insights to executive leadership.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis to identify discrepancies.
- Lead the annual audit process in collaboration with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of financial reporting regulations and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid work environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
