Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, variance analyses, and internal reports for management.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax filings and ensure full compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Lead internal and external audit preparations, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Collaborate with department heads to improve financial controls and reporting accuracy.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization within the finance department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs).
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP, IRS regulations, and local tax laws.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
