Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
- Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collection.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Support external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and tax compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
