Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- General Ledger: Manage the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and posted in a timely manner.
- Compliance: Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
- Budgeting: Collaborate with management to develop and monitor annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational efficiency within the accounting department and implement process enhancements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree (MBA) preferred.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to meet strict deadlines under pressure.
