Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes with accuracy and strict adherence to deadlines.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail and the ability to spot errors.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
