Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Oversee daily accounting operations, including the maintenance of the general ledger and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Reconciliation: Perform complex bank reconciliations and inter-company account reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices for efficiency.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Team Support: Mentor junior staff and assist with the annual audit process.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial data clearly to stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills and a high level of accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex financial issues and propose effective solutions.
