What You Will Do:
• Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes with strict adherence to GAAP standards.
• Prepare and analyze complex financial statements and variance reports for executive leadership.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy in all reconciliations.
• Assist in the coordination of external audits and internal compliance reviews.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risk.
• Utilize QuickBooks and advanced Excel to streamline financial workflows.
Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger entries and ensure timely reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Process payroll and ensure tax filings are completed correctly and on time.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and support during tax audits.
- Conduct expense analysis and provide recommendations for cost reduction strategies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock counts.
- Collaborate with the HR department on payroll-related inquiries and benefits administration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA license is a significant plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is mandatory.
- Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Macros) required.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and tax regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high attention to detail.
