Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle accounting process, including month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, variance analysis, and budgets.
- Manage general ledger accounts and perform reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Lead the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
- Assist in the development of internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general financial reporting standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
