The Role:
In this full-time position, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards, and managing complex accounting cycles. You will act as a key partner to management, providing insights that drive business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal and financial requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and coordinate with external auditors during year-end reviews.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Perform variance analysis and budget forecasting to support strategic planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and reporting efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Deep understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
