Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and provide variance analysis to senior management.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure optimal cash flow management.
- Prepare and file necessary local and state tax returns, ensuring full compliance with regulations.
- Support external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax compliance regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
